Overview

One of the most important duties of a Forms Manager is to insure that the forms department goals and objectives are properly aligned with the overall mission and objectives of the company or organization. The most important first step, then, is to understand the organization's mission, vision, values and objectives and to incorporate these into the Forms Management Program Manual (Style Guide). Department mission, objectives and goals must then be congruent with the organization objectives.

One of the strategic goals of a forms department is to support the organization's efforts for attracting and retaining customers. For government and non-profit organizations, this translates to supporting the strategic mission of the organization and to customer service. This mission support tends to take the forms department from a pure cost center to a revenue center and the forms function can be instrumental in helping the organization achieve its strategic mission.

The PowerPoint presentation, and accompanying support files, present this alignment process in a logical fashion. As you review the PowerPoint presentation, the links indicated on underlined words take you to examples.
