1. Click on the link below to access the MSHPEsgSetup.ex_ file.
2. Click on the file and save it on your local hard drive. Generally, you would save this file in c:/Temp directory, but any directory will work. Note: This process may take a few minutes, depending upon the speed of your connection.
3. Once saved to your PC, re-name the file to MSHPEsgSetup.exe. We use the under bar in place of the last e because many systems do not allow downloading of .exe files. This avoids downloading problems. Note: If the file extension does not display, go to step 4 first.
4. If your system does not display file extensions, use Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) to "Tools-Folder Options-View-"Hide file extensions for known file types" and uncheck this box. This allows the file extension to show and enables you to change the file name as required in step 3.
5. Once the file is re-named to MSHPEsgSetup.exe, double-click on it to automatically install the updates. Be sure to accept all of the defaults suggested.
6. Once the updates have successfully installed, you should delete the original file from your Temp directory.
7. Next, open Microsoft Word. Go to "Tool, Macros, Security". Set the security level to low to allow Word to process the built in macro that enables the Narrative section to work.
8. If you encounter any difficulties during this update process, contact us at rkillam@essociatesgroup.com or call 913-284-6573.
We hope you enjoy your experience with the new Missouri STARS program.

Occasionally, a necessary step is inadvertently omitted during initial STARS
installation that causes the database tables to not be created. Should you
encounter a problem where your logon does not save, or no pages are visible from
the Preliminary page, you will need to find a file and double click on it to
install the tables. To do this, go to "C:\inetpub" directory, locate
the file “ar_setupCZ.bat” and double click on it to run it. It will then
perform all required functions automatically.
