This 3-day course is ideal for the novice to intermediate JavaScript user. Days 1 & 2 consist of an introduction to functionality enhancements of PDF forms using the built-in functions and Acrobat® JavaScript; Day 3 concludes with Advanced Adobe® Acrobat® Forms concepts. This course is intended for forms professionals who are just now venturing into working with Adobe® Acrobat® It will provide techniques to help in making PDF forms smarter using the capabilities of Acrobat®. Acrobat 6.0 is featured, but Acrobat 7.0 is also discussed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with PDF/Acrobat® forms is not required; some basic understanding of programming is helpful but also not required.

An overview of Adobe Acrobat software, including menus and toolbars that apply to forms development, and also considering the Acrobat 5/Acrobat 6 issues.

An overview over the "Tools of the Trade" for PDF forms

A look at specific ways to create PDF forms: 

Creating PDF documents, adding fields and functionality 

Using forms design tools (a short discussion)

Remarks: 
Attendees should bring their own computer, equipped with Acrobat 6 Professional. Also required is an USB port, flash drive (memory stick)  (for on-going data exchange), and a good programming text editor (Notetab, BBEdit, emacs).
